About

Hi! I am Linda West. Welcome to my blog. I have been married for over 40 years to a great guy, Bob. We have a daughter Jennifer who is married to Tristan and a son Jeffrey, married to Christina. And don’t forget our grand-dog, Bananas, a very sweet black lab.

Our first grandchild is due in March 2012. We are very excited to welcome this new baby into our family. I now have a very good reason to make more quilts!

I  will retire from  Grace United Methodist Church at the end of October 2011 where I have been the office manager for nearly 12 years. I plan to spend the winter organizing my house and quilting.

Quilt Group and Guilds

We have a quilt group that meets at the church every Thursday evening at 7:00 PM. We make charity quilts for several causes; a baby quilt for the first baby of the year at CMH, a Relay for Life quilt, lap quilts for friends who are ill, and various other groups. Our favorite group quilt was a row quilt that had each member making a row.

I am also a member of a quilt guild in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Appleseed Quilt Guild has over 100 members and meets monthly. We sponsor a quilt show every two years.

Quilting has taken over my life! Just ask Bob, he says I have quilting things in every room of the house.

What QuiltingLinda.com is About

I hope to show you some of the quilts that I have made or am making now.

There are  a lot of quilts that I would like to make;  Shakespeare in the Park with batiks , several baby quilts,a  Five Little Monkeys embroidered baby quilt, and more Twister quilts.  I have an Accuquilt Go cutter that I want to use to get my scraps under control.
